Connect your Shopify store
ROAStify only reads your daily sales totals, read-only. It can't change anything on your store, and it never stores customer data.
Looking for a token to copy? There isn't one anymore.
Since January 1, 2026 Shopify no longer lets anyone create custom apps inside the Shopify admin, so the old “copy your Admin API token” approach only survives for apps made before that date. Shopify's replacement is the Dev Dashboard: you create a small app there and share its credentials instead. Same read-only access, better security — the tokens it produces expire and renew automatically.
Pick how to connect
Your own Dev Dashboard app
Works todayCreate a small read-only app in Shopify's Dev Dashboard and paste its Client ID and secret. About five minutes, and nobody has to approve anything.
Connect with Shopify
Coming soonOne-click connection, as soon as the ROAStify app clears Shopify's review.
Legacy token
Apps made before 2026Already have a custom app you created in your Shopify admin before 2026? Its shpat_ token still works.
Your own Dev Dashboard app
Works for any store you own. Do it on a computer — the Dev Dashboard isn't built for phones.
- 1
Open Shopify's Dev Dashboard
Sign in with the Shopify account that owns your store. If you belong to more than one organization, switch to the one your store lives in.
Open dev.shopify.com ↗ - 2
Create an app
Name it ROAStify so you recognise it later. It never shows up on your storefront.
Apps→Create app→Start from Dev Dashboard→Create - 3
Give it read-only access
Open the Versions tab. Leave the App URL as it is, pick the newest Webhooks API version, add these two scopes, then release.
Versions→Scopes→Releaseboth read-only - 4
Install it on your store
Back on Home, scroll to Install app, pick your store and approve the permissions screen.
Home→Install app→Install - 5
Copy the credentials
Open Settings and copy the Client ID and the Client secret. Treat the secret like a password.
Settings→Client ID→Client secret - 6
Paste them here
Add your store domain and both credentials. We check them with Shopify on the spot, then pull your last 60 days in the background.
Legacy token
Created a custom app inside your Shopify admin before January 1, 2026? Those keep working. Its token is under Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → your app → API credentials, and starts with shpat_.
What ROAStify can see
read_ordersYour order totals per day: sales, order count, units. Orders are summed on the fly and never stored — no names, no emails, no addresses.
read_reportsShopify Analytics' own total sales per day, plus sessions for conversion rate. Optional, but it's what makes our numbers match your Shopify dashboard.
If something goes wrong
“…different organizations” (shop_not_permitted)+
The app was created in a different organization than the one that owns your store. The organization ID is in the Dev Dashboard URL (dev.shopify.com/dashboard/<id>) — switch to the one that lists your store under Stores and create the app there.
“Shopify rejected the Client ID or secret”+
Copy both again from Settings in your app. If you rotated the secret, use the new one.
“…missing read_orders”+
Open Versions, add read_orders and click Release. New scopes aren't applied automatically: approve the update in your Shopify admin, then connect again.
My numbers don't match Shopify Analytics exactly+
Add the read_reports scope the same way, then hit ↻ on the store. With it we read Shopify Analytics' own total sales; without it we add up orders, which books a refund on the day of the order instead of the day of the refund.
I don't see a Create app button+
Your staff account needs app development permissions. Ask the store owner for the App developer role, or have the owner follow these steps.
Where do I find my .myshopify.com domain?+
Open your Shopify admin and look at the address bar: admin.shopify.com/store/your-store means your domain is your-store.myshopify.com. You can also paste that admin URL straight in.
Ready when you are.
